What does this do?

This utility updates the VAIO Care software to version 6.4.1.05290 and provides the following benefits:

  • Improves the Self Heal functionality by allowing critical updates to be installed silently

Download and Installation Instructions
  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the SOAVCA-00249980-1040.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAVCA-00249980-1040.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the “User Account Control” window, click “Yes”.
  5. At the “VAIO Care Update Ver. 6.4.1.05290″ screen, click “Next”.
  6. At the “License Agreement” dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click “I Agree” to continue with the installation.
  7. At the “Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for VAIO Care” screen, click “Next”.
  8. At the “InstallShield Wizard Complete” screen, click “Finish”.
  9. At the “Finished” screen, click “Finish”.

The installation of the VAIO Care Software Update is complete.
