  • During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the NM6X602.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the NM6X602.EXE file to begin the installation.
  3. At the "NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ Display Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
    NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-7 to reinstall the update.
  4. At the "Digital Signature Not Found" box, click Yes.
  5. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish. As the computer restarts, the video hardware will be redetected and the updated drivers will be installed.

The installation of the NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ Display Adapter Driver is complete.

Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ Display Adapter Driver, you will need to first remove the NM6X602.EXE installation files. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the directory where the NM6X602.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
  2. At the "NeoMagic MagicMedia256XL+ v6.02 Display Driver - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Continue.
  3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" window, click OK to remove all of its components. Please wait as the installation files are removed.

The uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the NM6X602.EXE file.
