Sony PCG-VX89 Notebook Touchpad Driver,Control Utility [WinXP]

• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

1. Download the AL-D072A0C02IP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the AL-D072A0C02IP.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the “Alps Touch Pad Driver For Windows XP and 2000 – InstallShield Wizard” box, click Next.
4. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
   NOTE: If an “Information” box appears prompting you to reboot to verify the system model, click OK. After the computer reboots, please continue with step 4 above.
5. At the “Setup Complete” screen, verify that “Yes, I want to restart my computer now” is selected and click Finish.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the ALPS Pointing Device (Touchpad) Driver and Control Utility is complete.
