What does this do?

This utility installs a Registry update to resolve an issue where CD/DVD drives may not appear in My Computer under the following circumstances:

  • Click to DVD update version 2.4.10.09150 is installed on a computer that has Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 installed
  • After Installing Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 Deluxe
  • After installing or uninstalling the iTunes™ program
  • After uninstalling a CD or DVD burning program from the computer

WARNING: Do not install this update unless your computer is exhibiting the above issue.

  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the SOOOTH-01106200-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOOOTH-01106200-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the “Sony Registry Update for Click to DVD” screen, click “Next”.
  5. At the “Restart Computer” box, make sure “Yes, restart my computer now” is selected, then click “Finish”.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony Registry Update for CD/DVD Drives is complete.
