What does this do?

This utility updates the Sony VAIO Media Music Server™ Version 2.5.x to resolve an issue where the VAIO Media Music Server Version 2.5.x cannot play OMA format files when SonicStage 2.x or a related application changes the file from OpenMG™ format (OMG) to OpenMG Audio format (OMA).

Important Notes
  • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the SOAVEP-00662403-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAVEP-00662403-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
  3. At the “VAIO Music Server Update Utility for Windows XP” screen, click “Next”.
  4. At the “License Agreement” dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click “I Agree” to continue with the installation.
  5. At the “Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for VAIO Media Music Server Update” screen, click “Next”.
  6. At the “Complete” screen, click “Finish” to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony VAIO Media Music Server™ Update is complete.
