Important Notes

  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the SO-W13000802JH.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SO-W13000802JH.EXE file to begin the installation.
  3. At the “Sony Notebook LCD Driver 1.3 For Windows XP- InstallShield Wizard” click Next.
    Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
    NOTE: If an “Information” box appears prompting you to reboot, click OK. After the system reboots, please continue with step 5 above.
    NOTE: This driver is not Microsoft WHQL certified. A “Hardware Installation” warning message may appear 3 or 4 times during this installation. If it does, click “Continue Anyway” to continue the LCD driver installation.
    NOTE: This driver may change screen resolution. If desired, please follow these steps to change to a different video resolution.
  4. At the “Setup Complete” screen, select “Yes, I want to restart my computer now.” and click Finish to reboot the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony Notebook LCD Driver is complete.
