What does this do?

This utility updates the Sony VAIO Edit Components for Microsoft Windows Vista™ operating system compatibility and provides the following benefits:

• Improves function and performance of AVCHD file export
• Adds support for editing recorded HDV files for the HVR-V1 professional HDV camcorder using PROG.SCAN mode with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 software
• Adds support for editing recorded HDV/AVCHD files for Hanycam camcorders which support x.v.Color™ mode

Download and Installation Instructions

1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
2. Download the SOAVEC-01159603-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAVEC-01159603-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. At the "VAIO Edit Components" screen, click "Next".
5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
6. At the "Finish" screen, click "Finish".

The installation of the Sony VAIO Edit Components is complete.
