Important Notes

• Before installing this update, please be sure to read Sony''s upgrade information. If the new operating system is not installed or configured correctly, some updates may not install correctly. • During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Download the PIC5182XP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. If a previous version of PictureGear is still installed on the computer, follow the steps below to uninstall it. Otherwise, continue with step 5.
   1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
   2. At the "Control Panel" window, click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
   3. At the "Add or Remove Programs" box, from the "Currently installed programs" list, click the "PictureGear" entry to highlight it.
   4. Click the Change/Remove button.
   5. At the "Welcome" screen, click the "Remove" option and then click Next.
   6. At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK. Please wait as the files are uninstalled.
      NOTE: If a "Shared File Detected" box appears, click the "Don''t display this message again" box (to check it), and then click Yes.
   7. At the "Maintenance Complete" screen, click Finish.
   8. Click Close to quit the "Add or Remove Programs" box.
   9. Click the X in the top-right corner to close the "Control Panel" window.
   10. Restart the computer.
   11. After the computer restarts, continue with step 5.
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the PIC5182XP.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
