Important Notes
- For Windows XP Upgrade systems only: Please read the Sony Windows XP Upgrade Information page, if the computer will be or has been upgraded to the Windows XP operating system. If the new operating system is not installed or configured correctly, some updates may not install properly.
- Before installing this update, please ensure that the following Windows XP-compatible Sony libraries are already installed:
- Sony Shared Library
- Sony UI Library
- Sony DV Shared Library
- During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
- Download the DVG24XP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
- Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the DVG24XP.EXE file to begin the installation.
- At the "Sony DVgate for Windows XP - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
NOTE: If a "Software Status" box appears prompting you to continue the installation, follow the steps below. Otherwise, please continue with step 6 below. - At the DVgate Version 2.4 Setup "welcome" window, click Next.
- At the "Choose Destination Location" window, click Next.
- At the first "InstallShield Wizard Complete" window, click Finish.
- At the second "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish.
After the comptuer restarts, the installation is complete.
