Important Notes

• Before installing this update, please be sure to read Sony''s upgrade information. If the new operating system is not installed or configured correctly, some updates may not install correctly. • Before installing this update, please ensure that the following Windows XP-compatible Sony updates are already installed:
  • Sony Share Library
  • Sony UI Library
  • Sony ImageStation™ Library (to upload images to Sony ImageStation)
  • Sony Jog Dial™ Utility (for Sony Notebooks equipped with Jog Dial)
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Download the SCAP42XP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SCAP42XP.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
