What does this do?

This program enables you to configure a third party CD-ROM drive to use the System Recovery CD.

Important Notes

• This executable will install the Versatile SRCDFD program on the hard drive. The Versatile SRCDFD program may then be used to create an SRCD (System Recovery Compact Disk) startup floppy disk which is used to boot the system and enable DOS support setup of an external third party CDROM drive. Once the CDROM drive is setup, the System Recovery CD can be accessed.
• The ReadMe.txt file contains the instructions to use the Versatile SRCDFD program to create the SRCDFD startup floppy disk. This procedure can be done now or at a later time.
• USB CDROM drives, including the CRX 100EX USB CDRW drive, are not bootable. A system recovery or single file restore (SFR) cannot be performed using a USB CDROM drive.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Download the SRCDTSTX.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SRCDTSTX.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. Click Finish.
4. At the "Installation is now complete." message, click OK.
5. After printing the ReadMe.txt file, click the X in the top-right corner to close the file and complete the update.

The installation of the Versatile SRCDFD program update is complete.
