  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions and the README.TXT file as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the VERSA_FX.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click VERSA_FX.EXE to begin the installation.
  3. At the "Versapad Driver" screen, click Finish to copy the update files to the C:\Windows\Temp\Versapad directory.
  4. At the "Copying Completed" box, click OK.
  5. On the Windows Desktop, right-click the My Computer icon.
  6. From the menu, click Properties.
  7. At the "System Properties" window, click the Device Manager tab.
  8. In the Device Manager tab, click the plus (+) next to the "Mouse" category to expand it.
  9. Under the "Mouse" category, click the "PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port" entry to highlight it.
  10. Click the Properties button.
  11. At the "PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port Properties" window, click the Driver tab.
  12. In the Driver tab, click the Update Driver button. The Update Device Driver Wizard will start.
  13. At the "This wizard searches for updated drives for..." screen, click Next.
  14. At the "What do you want Windows to do?" screen, select "Display a list of driver in a specific location...".
  15. Click Next.
  16. At the "Select the manufacturer and model of your hardware device..." screen, click the Have Disk button.
  17. At the "Install From Disk" window, in the "Copy manufacturer''s files from" box, type:

    C:\Windows\Temp\Versapad

    and click OK.
  18. At the "Select the manufacturer and model of your hardware device..." screen, confirm that "VersaPad" is highlighted and click Next.
  19. At the "Update Driver Warning" box, click Yes to confirm the installation of the VersaPad drivers.
  20. At the "Windows driver file search for the device" screen, click Next.
  21. At the "Windows has finished installing the driver..." screen, click Finish.
  22. Restart the computer:
    1. Click Start and click Shut Down.
    2. At the "Shut Down Windows" box, select "Restart" and click OK.

The installation of the VersaPad driver is complete.
