What does this do?

This utility installs the Sony VAIO USB Bluetooth Adapter registry patch for computers that have the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed to resolve an issue where a Desktop icon appears instead of a Notebook icon when Bluetooth devices discover the computer.

Important Notes

• WARNING!: Prior to the installation of this update, your computer must have Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed.
• This update is applicable only to computers with which you are using the PCGA-BA1/A or PCGA-BA2 USB Bluetooth Adapter.
• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Download the SOOOTH-00825000-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the SOOOTH-00825000-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Sony VAIO USB Bluetooth Adapter Registry Patch for Microsoft Windows XP" screen, click Next.
4. At the "License Agreement" dialog box, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree".
5. At the "Connect USB Bluetooth Adapter" box, connect the Bluetooth Adapter to your computer, then click OK.
6. At the "Remove USB Bluetooth Adapter" box, remove the Bluetooth Adapter from your computer, then click OK.
7. At the "Re-Connect USB Bluetooth Adapter" box, re-connect the Bluetooth Adapter to your computer, then click OK.
8. At the "Finished" screen, click "Finish".
9. At the "Install" screen, click "OK" to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony VAIO Bluetooth Adapter Registry patch is complete.
