Download and Installation Instructions
  1. WARNING!!: Before installing this update, be sure the computer is running from AC power. If the installation of the BIOS is interrupted by power loss, the computer may not operate correctly or at all!
  2. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  3. Download the PHBSYS-00779014-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  4. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the PHBSYS-00779014-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
  5. At the "Phoenix BIOS Update Utility for Microsoft Windows XP" screen, click "Next".
  6. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.NOTE: Please wait while the utility extracts the necessary files for the update.
  7. At the "VAIO BIOS Update Tool 1.0.01.10181" box, click "Update".
  8. At the "WBFLASH" box, click "OK".
  9. NOTE: Please wait while the utility updates the BIOS.
  10. At the "WBFLASH" BIOS Update successfully completed box, click "OK" to shutdown the computer.
  11. After the computer shuts down, wait for a few seconds, and then power on the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Phoenix BIOS Update is complete.
