This utility installs the Microsoft QFE KB909667 update and resolves an issue where the computer stops responding during standby or hibernation operations or when you try to use the Shut Down command.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
2. Download the MIOOTH-01107700-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MIOOTH-01107700-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
4. At the "Microsoft Windows KB909667 installation for Microsoft Windows XP" screen, click "Next".
5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
6. At the "Software Update Installation Wizard" screen, click "Next".
7. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the Microsoft agreement, then, if you agree, check the "I Agree" box, and then click "Next" to continue with the installation.
8. At the "Software Update Installation Wizard Completing" screen, click "Finish" to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Microsoft Windows KB909667 update is complete.
