What does this do?
This utility will install the Sony MPEG Realtime Encoder Board driver for the Sony VAIO notebooks with the UGP-PRAV1 AV Entertainment Docking Station to resolve the following issues:
- The TV application sometimes will not open.
- Movies are recorded incorrectly.
- The Giga Pocket application sometimes fails to record content from a non-copyright protected DVD, such as a home-made DVD.

Important Notes
- Before beginning the installation of this update, please attach the docking station to the computer.
- During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
- Download the SO-180300802FO04US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
- Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the SO-180300802FO04US.EXE file to begin the installation.
- At the "Sony MPEG Realtime Encoder Board Driver for Microsoft Windows XP" box, click Next.
- At the "License Agreement" dialog box, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree".
- At the "Finished" box, click Finish, then OK to restart your computer.
After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony MPEG Realtime Encoder Board driver is complete.
